The Cairngorm Classics (Winter)

The Cairngorms offer some of the most accessible, reliable, and technically challenging mixed routes in the UK. With safe, steep routes lying just an hour from the car and ranging from Grade I to Grade X this is  the home of hooking and torquing.

Itinerary

Before Your Course

Your EverydayClimbing mountain guide will be in touch one to two days before your course commences.  This pre-course contact serves to introduce your guide, confirm meeting details, and provide insight into the expected weather conditions. Our guides are readily available to address any queries you may have, ensuring you're well-prepared for your upcoming adventure.

On the Day

We're not afraid to admit it – we love the Cairngorms. The advantages of being able to start climbing at 630 meters, and with crags just an hour from the car are tremendous. Plus, with several popular climbing venues facing various aspects, it's a reliably safe area for climbing whatever the seasons conditions bring. Oh, and did we mention that the routes here range from Grade I to Grade X, covering the entire spectrum from the very easiest to the most challenging? Whatever your experience level, you'll find something here to test and delight you.

While the famous Northern Corries offer a wide range of routes and are a favorite haunt for us, the Cairngorms have more to offer than just those accessible cliffs. Lurchers Crag is often dripping in ice, Hells Lum offers long, sunny lines, and Lochnagar has routes that rival those on Ben Nevis but with a real chance of solitude.

So, come book with us to climb in the heart of the Scottish wilderness and allow us to share our favourite classics.

Not quite what you're seeking? No problem! We specialise in organising climbing, scrambling, or mountaineering guides for any route in the Scottish Highlands or islands. From the dramatic sea-stacks to the legendary Skye Cuillin, we've got your adventure covered. Feel free to drop us a line with your specific requirements, and we'll promptly respond to your inquiry.
