Our Team

Sam Percival

I'm the face behind EverydayClimbing and oversee most of the experiences and courses we offer.

A passionate climber and mountaineer, I find myself in the mountains most days, whether working or playing. In addition to climbing, mountaineering, and hillwalking, I have a love for wild swimming and mountain biking, and I also dabble in a bit of BASE jumping.

I have over 15 years of outdoor instructing experience, but still feel I learn something new every day. The limitless opportunity to improve and learn is what excites me about the high places, whether discovering something about the environment itself or how to interact with it. Scottish mountain journeys take you to some exceptional places, and I'm passionate about sharing them with others.

Amy Buttress

Amy grew up in the shadow of the Cairngorm mountains and has spent her life exploring the area. After several years of travelling and exploring the world, she has returned to her roots and now shares her passion for the upland environment with others as a qualified Mountaineering and Rock Climbing Instructor.

While Amy's primary passion is traditional rock climbing, she is also an expert skier and has been exploring the region each winter for over 20 years. Her personal aim is to combine these skills on ambitious ski-mountaineering routes.

Outside the outdoor industry, Amy creates ceramic art, which is displayed in her family-owned gallery just north of Aviemore in Carrbridge.

Cahal Wilson

Cahal Wilson honed his skills on the short and formidable crags of Yorkshire before relocating and settling in the Highlands with his wife. As an instructor, he has worked globally, with mountain guiding in India and climbing guiding in Spain standing out as notable professional achievements.

Similar to many professional instructors, Cahal possesses a diverse skill set and is qualified in various disciplines. During the winter months, he is drawn to snowboarding and has experienced the thrill in spectacular environments, ranging from Europe to Japan.

In addition to his work of teaching, coaching, and guiding in the UK mountains, Cahal, alongside his wife Fay, organises yoga retreats in the UK and Spain.

Jack Blundy

Around 9 years ago, Jack escaped a life of desk work for a career in the outdoor industry, and he hasn't looked back since. He acknowledges being fortunate in having incredible and inspiring climbing partners early on, whose mentorship helped him see the potential of the sport.

In the years that followed, Jack has climbed and worked across the UK, from the islands of Scotland to the South coast of England. He thrives on remote and committing climbing trips, using climbing as a platform to explore the best bits of the world.

We are incredibly fortunate to have Jack; his enthusiasm and passion are as infectious as they are obvious. Renowned for being considerate and encouraging, spending a day on the hills with him is bound to leave you with your own adventure travel plans simmering away!
